Our Impact

Thanks to our generous crafters and collection sites, we were able to collect and distribute 1,311 handmade items throughout our 2024 campaign.

  •  Children and teens shopped for our items at their annual Coat Shop event.
  • We shared scarves with their "In Service of Seniors" program as special holiday gifts.
  • We also contributed to their holiday family gift program. 
  • Some scarves were given out at the food pantry.

  • Other youth items supported their Journey of Hope program where they provide "a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for unaccompanied minors waiting for sponsorship in the United States."

Residences at Wood Street

  • Our donations went to their "Kid's Free Clothing" program at their Thriftique site. These amazing women work with many organizations in Pittsburgh to support women and families in need.

  • This unique downtown space offers 258 single room units for "homeless or those at risk of homelessness" that are supported by the leased office space also located within the building.

  • This "low barrier" shelter is a wonderful space that makes it easier for anyone in need to seek refuge. Our hats and scarves will be distributed to the homeless in need of some warmth. They experienced a damaging fire this year, so we were happy to help them as they reopened.

  • They will be giving our items to underprivileged elderly living in personal care homes that do not have families. We are so happy to bring them some comfort.
